You smiled and said
Not to worry
Because you had skin of steel
But your words tasted like lies
Because your skin felt like porcelain
And I could see the cracks in your wrists
Not to worry
Because you had skin of steel
But your words tasted like lies
Because your skin felt like porcelain
And I could see the cracks in your wrists

.........whooa omg! The imagery you used was brilliant!!!
I am especially taken with the way you used the idea of porcelain and the phrase "And I could see the cracks in your wrists", and how it could describe someone who is self cutting, or how their world is about to shatter.
A powerful and moving piece! I usually don't feel a very strong connection to "darker" poetry, but this was amazing and I had to favorite it so I can re-read it.
